Are Lace-ups or slip on boots better?

We held a lot of back and forth debate on this topic between the staff at the office. The thought that one pair could be better than the other was simply too much fun for us to pass up so we decided that we were going to put the lace-ups and the slip on boots on a head to head challenge to see which pair came out ahead. Will the results surprise you? We sure hope so. Let’s begin.

If you are unsure of what the key differences are between these two boots you can click on the links to visit our product description page to learn more about each type so that way you can see what we are talking and follow along with the discussion. As always we value your feedback so feel free to submit your comments. We will keep striving to improve our service to you.

Lace-up safety work boots: The lace up boots are what you typically think of when you think of boots. They are about ankle high, come with a shoestring that you tie up in order to provide better ankle support and they look and feel rugged and durable.

Slip on safety work boots:The slip on boots may not be what you typically think of when you think of boots but they are quickly growing in popularity because they are easy to put on and easy to take off. After a long day at work it is nice to be able to easily pop off your boots and start to get comfortable.

Both boots offer the same ankle high support. Both are water resistant. Both are organic fat/oil resistant. Both boots are acid resistant which is a very good thing. Both are heat resistant which means that if you find yourself in a fire situation your boots won’t be the first thing that give out.

Both of these boots are also slip resistant. The benefit of having slip resistant boots is the fact that you will be able to work without having to worry about having any slip and fall accidents. These types of accidents while usually cause minimal damage have been known to be life threatening in sever cases. Better grip means better balance which means your chances of having one of those life threatening falls has now greatly diminished.

At the end of the day these two boots are pretty neck and neck when it comes to what they offer. What did we decide? We couldn’t. It was pretty even for us here at the office. We would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
