In 2017, father-and-daughter team Maurice and Alessandra took a leap of faith. They stepped into a tiny local shop with a big dream: to build a place where tradies, businesses, and communities could find reliable gear, genuine service, and honest advice. What started as a small shopfront has since grown into a thriving business, proudly serving customers both in-store and online.
Today, Coalface offers one of the region’s widest ranges of workwear, PPE, safety boots, lifestyle clothing, and custom branding solutions. But while the shelves have grown, the heart of the business has never changed. From day one, Maurice and Alessandra’s focus has been simple — treat every customer like family and make sure they walk away with the right gear for the job.
